Chicago's

After our DMA we had worked up an appetite so I chose to take her to Chicago's which is a local pizza joint where you guessed it they serve Chicago style pizza. This is possibly one of my father's top 3 restaurants ever, mainly because he is from Chicago, but also because they have great food, wonderful service and a laid back atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. Oh and did I metion they deliver ;)

posing for her close up hehe

yea that hit the spot lol!

that grin she has is the grin of mouth watering excitment

DMA w/ Aley

This past Thursday Aley (a-hearts.blogspot.com) and I went to the DMA for some culture and below are just some of our favorite things. We explored everything from modern art to the classical and even took a tour of the Reeves exhibit where they donated the contents of their house to the DMA. Here shortly they are going to be showcasing a new exhibit that I am super excited to see...the Jean Paul Gaultier.

Work In Progress

So thanks to a particular co-worker my fellow co-workers and I are now addicted to a website that you can share, or rather "pin" your favorite things. Well that has inspired me to renovate my room and step one was all new bedding and curtains. My new color scheme went from whatever my heart desired to now clean lines, cotton materials with a few different textures here and there all in navy blue, crisp white and dark brown. Aley was nice enough to make the long drive to Ikea to buy my new bedding and I now feel like I am sleeping in a nice hotel bed where I sleep like a rock. Next comes the art and creativity. ;)

The Dallas Museum of Art

Okay so I won a year free membership to the DMA, also known as the Dallas Museum of Art. At first I thought the woman on the other end was messing with me because first off I didn't even know I had been submitted into the raffle and also because I am an art freak! Since then I have gone almost every week and they even have a "late night at the museum" kind of thing where you can enjoy different bands, speaker, poets and artists...can we say up my alley much??? And the poor woman must of thought that no one would really take advantage of this and was trying to sell me on the benefits of winning this package, including the free parking in downtown Dallas (I about fell out of my chair when she said that because not only is it difficult to find parking it is EXPENSIVE). I quickly had to tell this girl that she couldn't of picked a better patron lol!

=)

Erin and I walking into the museum for the Thursday Night Special lol

I would totally of bought this for my boyfriend if I knew he would use it...maybe my brother Michael...hehe

Classic Chevy's

Okay so I LOVE classic cars! So you should of seen my face when I pulled into work to find a classic chevy car show...I can assure you it was classic too lol!

@ the Beach

I discovered this summer that the DFW metroplex has an awesome little known beach at lake grapevine! Erin, Ally(my 10 year old sister) and I had a blast and went there several times, the 110+ weather with no rain in sight kind made you not ever want to leave your air conditioning.

Lady Date

My best friend Erin and I ended up at a wonderful little place named Taco Diner. The name sounds plain and it looks really plain from the outside but the moment you step in you can't help but think "Wow." It was one of those little life lessons to not judge a book by its cover. Oh and did I mention they make some of the best mojitos...lol!

Michael & Shannon

Back in September 2010 I planned my brother, Michael, and Shannon's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and as all weddings are, chaotic. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and by the end of the night we all certainly felt like the trip thru the rabbit hole was well worth it. I nearly cried standing up there listening to them say their "I do's"

Shannon made her own wedding dress

Booked and photo booth and saved us nearly $1,000.00...thats what a good wedding planner rocks at!
